After 10 Months, This Mother Dog Was Excited To Reunite Her Twelve Kids Who Turned Strong And Healthy

People often say that: “Mom has a special bond with her children, so she can overcome the pain and risks to give birth to them.” Mothers often like to stay by their children’s side, seeing them grow up in their safe arms. This mama dog, however, had to live apart from her puppies for a long time. After 10 months, she finally reunited with her kids, who had become healthy and beautiful boys and girls.

Meet Bess. She is quite a mother and survivor. She was found and rescued from a roadside right before giving birth. The dog soon became busy mom of twelve puppies thanks to the assistant of her rescuers, Tracey and John Stewart. One baby – named Burrdie, the firstborn – ended up blocking the birth canal on her way out. Although she still survived, she was weaker than her siblings and needed the most care. In the picture, Burrdie was the puppy with a pink ribbon.

With the overwhelming number of puppies, there was an issue that came along. Tracey and John dedicated their house to make a shelter for the huge family, but shortly after, they found it unaffordable to keep Bess and her twelve puppies in their home. The couple had to make a tough decision, although they knew it hurt Bess so hard. They were going to send her and her children to their new homes!

After the long journey, Bess was eventually welcomed by Susan Zaleski at her house. Then, it was her puppies’ turn to find new homes. It took a long time to find great families for them, but finally, the puppies got adopted by Tracey’s friends.

If Bess could have seen her puppies growing up into strong, happy dogs in their new forever homes, she’d be one proud mama. She lived happily with Susan at her home, but the mom was always missing her children.

“Bess’ personality is….she is definitely a Nanny dog. She’s always checking on the kids. I do see a motherly instinct in her.”, said Susan.

Therefore, Tracey, her husband, and her friends agreed that such a celebratory reunion was a requirement for Bess and her babies.

That big day happened on their birthday, and also, mother’s day. Twelve dogs showed up to their outdoor party to meet their mom for the first time again since their birth. They turned into beautiful boys and girls. Meanwhile, Bess was expecting to come out from inside, making a surprise for her kids.

It was beyond words to describe how happy they were at that moment, but the cheerful and emotional atmosphere made all of human friends at the party bawl their eyes with tears. In the video, Bess wagged her tail, kissing her children to show her excitement and happiness. We can know, for sure, that with all her puppies in the hands of her owner’s friends, the next reunions shouldn’t be too hard to happen.
