One day, Hope For Paws got a text message about a homeless dog living in a park in Central California. After receiving the news, Loreta Frankonyte and Eldad immediately rushed to the park to save him. They had to drive for three hours to get to the rescue location. When they arrived, they quickly found the dog place and spotted him lying on the grass.
The dog was sleeping when he suddenly woke up. He walked around to beg the people at the park to give him some snacks. He had lived here alone for over a year. He got familiar with people, so he was not scared when meeting Hope For Paws’ team. He seemed to know that these good people would not harm him and was so happy to let them touch him.
The little boy couldn’t hide his happiness when he was rescued, so the team decided to call him Happy. They sat down for a few minutes and comforted him before driving back to L.A. Just like most dogs, they scanned for microchips to make sure that Happy didn’t belong to anybody.
At the shelter, Happy was cleaned and groomed to remove all the ticks and fleas on his body. He felt comfortable and happy after being cleaned and received medical treatment care. It was time to find him a foster home until he was strong enough to find his forever home. Thankfully, Smooch Pooch Dog Rescue asked to foster him and help him find a suitable adopter.
Happy is now happy to live in his forever home. Not only does he have great parents, but he also has best friends who love him so much. We hope that his whole life will be full of joy and love. After everything he had been through, he deserves to be loved and cared forever.
