All cats deserve to know what love and care feel like, including street cats with health issues. Julius was once a sick cat who spent years wandering on the streets trying to fend for himself, but luckily he was saved and healed, both physically and mentally.
Rescuers at the Flatbush Cats have been feeding and caring for feral cats in Brooklyn, New York for several years, and one day, a strange face showed up in one of their backyards. Normally the cats in this area often scare off new cats as they consider that backyard to be their own territory, but they tolerated this one somehow. It was a beautiful long-haired male who obviously needed help, he had trouble breathing and all the signs of an upper respiratory infection.
Despite his terrible situation, the timid cat still refused any attempt to help. In fact, Julius didn’t even let any human approach him and seemed to be really alert in front of regular traps. So, in order to capture this cautious boi, they had to set up a drop trap and waited for a few days until he let his guard down.
The poor cat was literally crying for help but was too shy to get close to them at the same time. It took them a while to gain his trust, and once this lovely kitty opened his heart, he became really sweet and nice around humans.
The rescuers took him to the vet, helped him take antibiotics and took care of him every day. As Julius gradually recovered, their bond also got stronger and stronger day by day. They dearly loved each other.
Finally, after plenty of love and care, Julius had overcome all of his problems and transformed into a lively and healthy cat. Of course, it also meant he was ready for adoption and needed to head to his new forever home. Saying goodbye is never easy, but they were all happy for their adorable furry friend.
