Maui is an Australian Shepard and Catahoula Leopard mix puppy who was born deaf and needed someone who would be patient to take care of her. Despite her situation, she is still a sweet and affectionate dog who is loyal and devoted to the people she loves.
She then was adopted by three different families, but after a short time, all of the families said that they didn’t want to care for her anymore and returned her to the shelter. Every time Maui was returned, she was sad and confused.
Thankfully, just after her first birthday, Maui was adopted by a patient and loving family. She finally found her forever home and beloved owner that she deserves. Her new family even created an Instagram page just for her to share her daily life with the world.
The previous families said that she was “untrainable”, so her new owners decided to prove them wrong by uploading a touching video of Maui on her Instagram.

Her new dad said, “She is literally the cutest thing on this planet.” Maui quickly learned basic commands through hand signals but her dad added, “We’re not perfect, but she’s perfect for me.”
The family feels so lucky to have Maui as part of their family. She loves chewing on ice cubes, cookies, and cuddling.
“She’s my best friend,” her dad said.
In another post they wrote, “Everyone says how good of people we are and how lucky Maui got to have a family who loves her. The way I see it, we’re the lucky ones. This beauty is one of the best things to happen to our family.”
