Man Uses Wagon For Paralyzed Dog To Help Her Explore The World

While going out for a walk in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Bryant Thompson noticed a man walking his dog through Shubie Park.

However, this was not a typical dog walk, the dog was bundled up in blankets to keep warm, and was lying in a wagon. When the man pulled his beloved pup in the wagon, Thompson quickly took out his phone and captured some pictures from the distance.

Bryant spoke with the dog’s owner and learned that the poor dog has ALS (Degenerative myelopathy, or better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease), and is unable to walk on her own. For this reason, the kind man uses the wagon to help his furry best friend explore the world and get some fresh air.

ALS affects mature dogs, usually between the ages of 8-14 years, and worsens until the poor animal is no longer able to walk and is paraplegic in the rear limbs.

“I told him he was a great person for doing that, because I know there are many who wouldn’t,” Thompson wrote in a Facebook post, which quickly went viral. “He just said that she would do the same for him and kept trucking. It’s hard to type this without tearing up.”

This man has a heart of gold for showing such love and taking care of his paralyzed pup. Dogs are best companions who love their humans unconditionally. That’s why they deserve all the care we give them.

Caring for a dog with special needs, definitely makes you one of the purest humans out there. If you love this touching story, please share it with your friends and family members.
