Born With Green Fur, This Tiny Cute Puppy Is Named Pistachio By His Owners

There is no rule in nature. It’s definitely true. You can find many animals out there whose features can shake the world a little. The adorable newborn pup in this story is a great example. This tiny cute guy was born with green fur, so his owners immediately named him Pistachio. Keep scrolling!

Recently, an Italian farmer named Cristian Mallocci has welcomed the arrival of five newborn puppies to his home. They were born on a farm located on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia.

While all four of Pistachio’s siblings had white fur, the cutie had an unusual coat – green fur. And his name Pistachio reflects this. It matches, right?

For this thing, the green fluffy boy is going to be kept on his farm. Meanwhile, his brothers and sisters will find their new homes. Pistachio will be trained to look after the sheep on the farm with his mother.

Regarding Pistachio’s green fur, there are two explanations for this.

The green fur color occurs when a doggy with light-colored fur gets stained by the “meconium” in the mother’s womb—the earliest stool produced by an infant animal. It can be also caused by a green pigment in the mother’s womb called biliverdin.

It’s worth mentioning that the green fur of puppies like Pistachio won’t last forever. It’s going to fade until it’s completely gone. But this never affects the doggie. He’s still adorable, smart, and helpful as he used to be.
