Parents Had A Touching Final Photoshoot Of Their Newborn Twins Who Didn’t Have Much Time Left

Lyndsay Brentlinger and her husband Matthew from Toledo, Ohio, struggled for years to have a baby, and finally their wish to be parents came true on December 17th 2016 when Lyndsay gave birth to twins, one boy and one girl named William and Reagan.

When the couple found out they were to have twins, they were absolutely overjoyed. Sadly, their happiness didn’t last long. Everything seemed to collapse in front of their eyes when they were delivered the heartbreaking news that William was born with various abnormalities and only the right side of his heart was functioning.

William wasn’t as healthy as he should’ve been. “He just had a bunch of abnormalities. The left side of his heart was not functioning,” Lyndsay told 13abc.

At their 23rd week of pregnancy, Lyndsay and Matthew were told by doctors that their son would be a still-born. But amazingly, William didn’t give up his fight and survived the birth. He even remained with his parents and his sister for 11 days before sadly passing away.

‘They were the happiest 11 days of my life,’ said Matthew. And in order to remember their precious days together, the couple reached out to professional photographer Lindsey Brown. Despite being fully booked, Lindsey was so touched by their story that she agreed to do a touching photoshoot of the twins just before Christmas.

“Pictures are just memories,” said Brown. “I know how much people cherish them, so I was really glad I was able to do that for them.”

Lyndsay loved the photos a great deal and cried when she looked at them. “I cried the first time I looked at them. I still cry sometimes,” said Lyndsay.

“They are beautiful and he is beautiful. In some of them, you can see he is wide awake with his big beautiful eyes. It’s something we will definitely cherish.”

And here’s what people are saying:

“William looks like an old soul. I’m glad he survived long enough to spend a little time with his parents and sister. The photo shoot is a beautiful memorial.”

“Your babies are beautiful, I’m so sorry you lost your little boy. I hope a little part of him lives on in his sister.”

“Maybe it’s just my perception, but looking into William’s eyes it seems like…he knows he doesn’t have much time. This is a beautiful photo shoot, and heartbreaking at the same time.”

And as you can see, although the little William is no longer with us, he will live on forever in these beautiful and touching pictures with his beloved parents and twin sister.

This story and these pics made us cry, and now it’s your turn. Tell us your thoughts in the comments below and don’t forget to share this touching story with your friends and family members!
