This is BeeJay, the world’s chonkiest tabby cat who is looking for someone to love him. According to Morris Animal Refuge, BeeJay’s adoption page, the cat weighs in at a whopping 26 pounds — more than twice the heft of an adult kitty. The shelter added that he’s not overweight but just a big boned cat.
BeeJay is up for adoption at a Philadelphia animal shelter and staffs are hoping to find a new home for him. However, it’s important to note that he’ll need more space than other cats.
“OMG, big boi Mr. B is a CHONK. He’s a chonk of a chonk. He redefines the term. Can you guess how much he weighs? More importantly, can you give him a home? Adopt this jumbo-sized package of fluff & love, and help this sad-eyed guy find happiness!” the shelter wrote.
BeeJay’s chunkiness is part of his charm and his personality is as striking as his physique. The city’s police department even offered to put him on paw-trol. “Um, if he doesn’t get adopted (highly unlikely) he’s welcome to join our K9 Unit as its first Feline (he IS a cat, right?!) member,” the Philadelphia Police Department tweeted.
If you love this jumbo-sized cat, you can adopt him or help him get adopted by spreading the word. With any luck, BeeJay will soon move into a loving forever home with a kind owner who’ll give him the life that he deserves.
