Adorable Footage Of Mother Elephant Helping Her Calf Climb Over The Concrete Fence While Crossing Road

There are only a few things that are more adorable than a baby elephant. They win our hearts easily with chubby short legs and big bright eyes. We can’t stop smiling at the way these animals run here and there, even when they get into trouble with their legs. It’s just so cute!

The baby elephant in this story also faces an obstacle with his legs. He tries to climb over the concrete ramp while crossing the road with his family but eventually fails. The calf puts his front legs on the fence but couldn’t reach to get over. The short legs and little shape “betray” him.

My heart melts for this scene. It is like a little boy who can’t play his favorite game only because he is too small. And he ends up looking at his mom with helpless eyes? Who can ignore him?

Luckily, the mother elephant gets back to the concrete fence, climbs on it and helps her calf. When he puts his front legs on the barrier again, the mother elephant lowers her trunk to the calf’s rump to pull it up. They did it!

These adorable, heartwarming moments were captured on a highway in Gudalur, Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu, in southern India. The elephant herd was crossing the road when the youngest mem was left behind. But his mother came back to help her child and continued their journey.
