Police Officer Hops On Car To Give Birthday Gift To Isolated Pensioner

This is the touching moment a Spanish police officer climbs on top of his patrol car to give a self-isolating elderly woman a birthday gift.

The woman named Toni Moreno was set to celebrate her 68th birthday at home in the town of Jaca, in the northern Spanish province of Huesca in the Aragon region. Although she felt lonely, she managed to stay at home to prevent catching and spreading coronavirus.

Teresa Garcia, one of Toni’s neighbors, heard Toni applauding two police officers who were walking the streets beneath her home, and noticed she later talked to them from her balcony.

After witnessing what was going on next door, Teresa’s children told the officers it was Toni’s birthday. The kindhearted police officer then went to a nearby shop to buy a bag of sweets for Toni to make her happier on her special day.

In the video, the unnamed cop can be seen hopping on the roof of his patrol car so he can reach Toni’s balcony and give birthday treat to her. She appears on the balcony, looking shocked and overjoyed. Toni’s neighbors even burst into a chorus of ‘Happy Birthday’ while the officer passes the birthday treat for her.

You can see the heartwarming moment on the video below:

Toni was grateful to her kind neighbors and the officers for the sweet and heartwarming gesture. She then told her neighbors that ‘We will hang out when everything is over,’ and the video ends after everyone gives her a round of applause.

Teresa even complimented Toni by describing her as an ‘exemplary neighbor’ who stays at home during isolation. After all, Toni was overjoyed to be able to celebrate her birthday with others, even from a distance.

Although the gesture of the police officer is small, it brings happiness to people in these difficult times.
