Woman Walks Into Animal Shelter And Gets Adopted By A Cat

Over the years, hundreds of scientific studies have shown that having a pet around can improve our health. There’s evidence that pets can lower one’s stress, decrease blood pressure and even lower risk of heart disease. In addition to improving our health, these four-legged friends can even make our lives happier and better.

However, the human-pet bond is not only based on one-sided benefits. Pets also need care and attention to keep them healthy, happy, and safe. For this reason, people start going to animal shelters to adopt pets and give them a happy home.

Recently, a pharmacy student named Sarah shared a wholesome story on how she adopted her beloved cat. And what makes this story even more incredible is that she gets adopted by this shelter cat. If you don’t believe, scroll down below to read Sarah’s post.

Sarah went to a shelter looking for a buddy. When she arrived at the shelter, she met an adorable cat named Jimmy Dean and instantly fell in love with the kitten. Sarah shared her story on her Tumblr blog, and she never expected that her post would soon go viral.

“So I went to go look at some cats today at a shelter and there was a little skinny cat named Jimmy Dean (like the breakfast sandwiches) and he was purring and sitting on my lap and I asked the volunteer what the adoption process was like and she explained it and then said, “Hear that, Jimmy Dean, you might have a home for Christmas!”

The happy duo has been together for 1 year and now they are inseparable. “He’s a smelly little jerk but I love him with all my heart,” Jimmy Dean’s owner Sarah added.

What an adorable story! If you love this story, please share it with your friends and family!
