Nobody Wanted To Adopt This Shelter Cat So He Decided To Try A Unique Tactic To Get Adopters’ Attention

When it comes to adopting pets, people tend to adopt pets who look cute and act cute. So, pets at the shelters have to look adorable in order to get adopted easily. But sometimes, they have to do more than just be cute to find yourself a forever home.

That is exactly what the three-year-old cat, Sigmund, did. This cat was known for being a cuddly kitty, but sadly, no one wanted to adopt him. He was having trouble getting people to pay attention to him, so he had to spend most of life in the animal shelter Cat Haven WA.

He was adopted once, but after only two weeks, his owners brought him back to the shelter because he “played too rough.”

Despite being returned to the shelter, Sigmund wasn’t discouraged and always wanted a forever home. And in order to avoid that fate, Sigmund came up with an adorable trick to get himself noticed by not only the staff but also potential new families.

The clever cat began licking the glass window pane of his enclosure anytime a potential adopter walked by. When the staff at Cat Haven WA noticed Sigmund’s unique action, they began capturing some pictures of him and posted them on Facebook. They hoped that these pics would be able to get the attention of a potential adopter.

Luckily for Sigmund, his adorably hilarious method worked, and people began taking notice of him. It helped him find a new home, where his owners love him for all this grumpiness, quirkiness, and how clean he keeps their windows!
