Six months ago, Morgan Smith adopted Betty the cat from a local vet clinic. The little Betty is still learning about her new home, so she often stays at home to play with members of family and enjoys her happy life.
Despite being an indoor cat, she loves watching the world through her windows. So, sometimes Morgan carries her outside and lets her play there. And of course, Morgan always keeps an eye on Betty to make sure that she is safe while discovering the outside world.
Recently, Betty was staring out the window when it started to rain. She had never seen rain before, so she was so surprised and couldn’t hide her emotions. “I could see her peeking out the screen door in confusion,” Morgan Smith, Betty’s mom, told The Dodo.
For this reason, Smith decided to take Betty outside and let her experience the rain firsthand. Nobody could imagine how great her reaction was. She was very overwhelmed by the water falling from the sky and frantically tried to catch the rain.
After that, Smith took Betty back inside — but that didn’t stop her from catching the rain. “When I took her back inside she ran straight to the door again to catch the rain,” Smith said. Thankfully, Betty calmed down and moved on with her day. However, her family can’t wait to see what happens next time it rains.
