Rescue Horse Forms Special Friendship With Blind Dog

Many people believe that animals are just dumb beasts, but in fact they are smart creatures. Just like us, they are capable of feeling love and compassion. If you don’t believe us and need more proof, don’t look any further as this post is all things you need. The unlikely friendship between a horse and a dog below will prove that animals from different species can form unexpected friendships.

Spanky is a rescue horse who has a special friendship with a blind Jack Russell named Dally. Despite all differences between them, the two animals become best friends and have been together for ten years. The duo can spend most of their time together and become inseparable. They offer each other emotional comfort and physical benefits that we humans can not offer.

The horse Spanky was rescued when he was two years old. When his new owner Francesca Carsen found him, he was bossy and aggressive. His previous owner asked Carsen to adopt him, and she agreed. After a year of patience, love and training, the naughty horse adapted to his new home and was like a completely different horse.

Dally was the runt of a litter born to one of Carsen’s friends, and no one seemed to want her. For this reason, she offered to take the tiny dog, and the two animals quickly formed a great friendship. Dally is obsessed with riding on Spanky’s back, and the huge horse is happy to let the tiny dog get on his back. They often take naps outside together and hang out in the paddock.

Unfortunately, Dally went blind due to a condition called SARDS. Despite being blind, she still loves to play with her best friends. Carsen sometimes put her on Spanky and holds his lead to make sure she is safe. She always feels calm on top of Spanky and is happy to stay with her companion. They have spent a lot of years together, so no matter what happens, they will be best friends and love spending every possible moment together.
