30 Adorable Photos Of Rescue Opossums That Prove They’re Not Scary ‘Pests’

We normally raise cats and dogs as our pets. We befriend them, making them family members and true friends. They’re lovely and loyal and can comfort and help us in daily life. But some people keep strange pets. Snakes, spiders, ducks, or other exotic animals. But how would it work with rescue opossums? Is it ok to consider them family pets? Some think that they’re scary while some say that they are innocent and adorable.

These pics of rescue opossums is shared by an Instagram account called itsmesesame. He rescues and rehabilitates opossums and uploads their progress. They show a different side of these animals that are usually seen as “pests.”

“Our opossums are rescue animals—we always free them back to nature, except when they cannot survive in the wild. Two of mine are losing their tails and that is why they cannot be released and they love me as wildlife ambassadors. To inspire everyone to love and care for wildlife and the land,” their owner Ally Burgueires told Bored Panda.
