The story of Shiro is an example of unconditional love unseen in pet dogs. Initially, Shiro was a shelter dog who got adopted and returned 4 times. The incident of losing his expected-forever-home imprinted a fear in him until he met Sheryl Smith. This mother has been a long-term animal rescuer for years, decided to take Shiro home and give him a family he deserved.
The day Shiro finally got his forever sweet home
Despite being partially blind and deaf, Shiro didn’t show to be an awkward dog. He has a heart of gold instead. Living in the home where it often receives and fosters abandoned animals, Shiro perceived his role soon after realized the case. With one’s sweet and caring nature, Shiro left his struggles behind and started to help his mom comforting piteous critters brought from the street.
The dog doesn’t pick any particular animal to stay close, but every rescue comes to his house. Once Smith took home a tiny feral kitten left starving and too sick that she could not have made it on her own. Shiro sensed the gravity of the situation, so he took the responsibility to look after the little sick cat.

Shiro’s huge kiss surpises Tolley
Shiro was there seeing Tiny Tolley regaining her health and becoming his best friend. Tolley often receives huge kisses from Shiro that caught her in surprise. And she will keep receiving such love until the day she got her own forever home. Not only to Tolley but also to every flock under the roof, the love Shiro gives is an indispensable prescription for the healing process.
