A wonderful act of kindness was caught at the right place, at the right time on CCTV and restored our faith in humanity once more. The CCTV camera captured a woman leaving a cafe on a cold and rainy day in Zonguldak, Turkey. As she stepped out the door, she noticed a stray dog who was curled up just outside the doorway attempting to shelter from the rain.
After a few seconds of deliberating, the woman didn’t walk away. She took off her scarf and placed it over the dog like a blanket in order to keep it warm. Before long, the video was posted to Facebook and received a lot of attention about woman’s heart-warming gesture.
The woman in the video, Elma couldn’t imagine that covering the dog with her scarf would receive this attention. She thought it had felt like the right thing to do as she was unable to offer more to the dog at that moment.
Although her encounter with the stray dog in front of the cafe on a cold and rainy day ended there, it seems that we can all learn something from Elma’s act of kindness! Her sweet gesture had a positive impact on the dog’s life and might inspire even more people to follow and make the world a better place.
