Husband Surprises Wife With 500 Roses To Commemorate Her Last Day Of Cancer Treatment

When Alissa Bousquet was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in 2015, she seemed to collapse and lose all hope. She had to undergo several dangerous surgeries and painful months of chemotherapy treatment at Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

But thanks to all the support and care from her family, especially her beloved husband Brad Bousquet, Alissa regained her hope and determined to win this battle. She bravely fought with her cancer and finally completed her chemotherapy after four months.

Brad was amazed at his wife resiliency while fighting breast cancer, so he decided to do something special to celebrate the end of her intense rounds of chemotherapy. He secretly contacted friends and neighbors to help him surprise her by showering her in roses. He also asked them to pay $10 per rose and pledged to donate all proceeds to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

“I wanted to do something special during this last treatment to celebrate the end of her chemo and to show her the tremendous love and support she has from her friends and family,” Brad Bousquet wrote on Facebook about the gift.

With the help of family, friends, and neighbors, he raised more than $4,500 for breast cancer research and surprised his wife with 500 roses. Alissa’s two daughters and four close friends presented boxes of roses on her final day of treatment – and caught the emotional moment on video. Needless to say, she was shocked to see so many flowers and couldn’t hide her happiness after knowing the truth.

Watch the video of Alissa receiving all her flowers here:

The Bousquets said they shared the flowers to other patients also undergoing chemotherapy at the hospital. “After presenting the rose baskets to my wife we shared them with the other cancer patients receiving treatment today,” Brad wrote. “The joy of sharing these roses with the other cancer patients was one of my favorite parts.”

What a beautiful gesture! If you love Brad’s touching surprise, please share this post with your friends and family members!
