Some employees came to work in the morning when they found a Siamese cat hanging upside down on a razor wire by her tail. She was exhausted and stress, so they thought that she had been stuck on the razor wire for all night long. Realizing that the cat was in danger, they immediately called Hope For Paws for help. After receiving the urgent call, Eldad rushed to the scene to save the poor cat.
When Eldad arrived, he quickly ran into the cat’s place. He didn’t know for how many hours the cat was stuck on the razor barbed wire, but it must have been a nightmare for her. Before carrying out the rescue, he had to find how to free the cat without hurting herself and himself. The cat was tired and injured, so she couldn’t bring herself to get out of the razor wire.
Just as Eldad figured out how to rescue the cat, two officers from Animal Control showed up. Together, they managed to save the cat successfully and got her out safely. They put her in a cage and let her take a rest. The officers were happy to let Eldad bring the cat to the vet, where she received emergency and necessary medical care. He decided to name her Barb.
The cat was in shocked from blood loss, pain and from hanging upside down. Before handling the cat, the doctors had to completely sedate her. Her tail was broken in multiple places, so they had to remove it. Despite losing her tail, the doctors explained that feral cats can live normally without a tail.
Everyone had tried to make Bard friendly, but she has been a feral cat all her life and didn’t want to live with humans. Pat Arosemena, the person who called about the cat asked her boss to remove the dangerous razor wire and he agreed. For this reason, they decided to return her to where she lived all her life. Everyone was happy to see her again, and she couldn’t hide her happiness when being back her place.
