Millions of stray dogs and cats live on China’s streets. Some are abandoned and left to fend for themselves by their owners, but the majority were born on the streets. Thankfully, there are still many animal rescue organizations that are dedicated to helping and saving these poor animals. And Northeast Animal Rescue is one of them. Until now, they have rescued many stray animals and given them a new life.
This time, Northeast Animal Rescue got an emergency call from a truck driver. He was driving pass a bridge, when he saw someone throwing a box of kittens into the river. Knowing that the kittens were in danger, he immediately called the rescue center for help. After receiving the call, some rescuers rushed there immediately to save them. At that time, every minute was precious to them and the kittens.
When they arrived at the bridge, they searched everywhere to find the kittens. They were searching up and down the river bank, when they heard helpless meowing from down the river. Fiona, one of the rescuers, found a wet kitten stuck on a rock in the river bank. Sadly, the rescuers only found this kitten. They couldn’t find her siblings and rescue them.
Fiona named the kitten Peach and took her to the shelter. She was exhausted, thirsty and hungry, so Fiona cleaned her up and fed her. Thanks to all the care and love of her foster mom, Peach started recovering from trauma. She now becomes a healthy and happy kitten. Once she is ready for adoption, she will be moved into her new home where she will be loved and cared by great people.
