The life of the animals near the coast is not easy at all. The storm combining with the tide is a struggle for them. This also what happens with wildlife animals living on the Dutch coast. Artistic wildlife photographer Ruurd Jelle van der Leij spent 7 years capturing the coast and animals dwelling in here during the tides and storms. Both humans and animals become fragile in front of natural disasters. There are many scenes to be captured in Ruurd Jelle’s photos. A rat that swims in the water, a hare that runs onto a higher land, a fox that makes it to a fence but not the coast, leaving him to hang on to life for an hour.
