In the light of the coronavirus outbreak all around the world, many families have had to isolate themselves to protect themselves and limit the spread of the virus in the community.
Over the past few days, Sara Ryan’s family has been in self-isolation at home in Canada. It is not easy to stay at home all day, but they are trying to adapt to their new life of isolation. However, their quarantine period seemed to be better thanks to a special guest.
During this difficult time, Sara Ryan and all members in her family were lucky enough to have a front-row seat to an adorable scene taking place just beyond their window. A cute little fox was napping peacefully on a tree stump outside their home.
“My dad was very excited!” Ryan told The Dodo. “They’ve been social-distancing and don’t have pets, so I think they were excited to have something out of the ordinary in their yard!”
At one point, when Ryan’s dad stepped outside: “The fox looked up and then went right back to sleep,” he said. It was clear that the cozy little fox felt secure in his napping spot.
“The tree is protected by the garage behind it so it only faces my parents’ yard,” Ryan said. “I imagine that it’s a warm and safe place to nap!”
That same day at night, when Ryan’s dad looked out the window, he noticed that the fox had woken up and was gone. But apparently, he wasn’t gone for long because he was seen there again. After a night of activity, he returned to his favorite spot to rest.
“He is back there today snoozing away!” Ryan said.
Ryan’s dad was thrilled, and so was she. For this reason, she decided to post the photos on Twitter, where her tweet went viral in a few short hours. Not surprisingly, people fell in love with the sweet, sleepy fox.
“I love that people are loving the fox! It makes sense that people want a little slice of joy in the midst of a lot of stress and anxiety and chaos,” Ryan said. “I’m glad that my one viral tweet was a cute tweet during a not very cute time.”
