Man Places Camera In Bowl Of Water To Capture Emotion On Faces of Animals

Meet Ahmet Selki, an animal lover in Turkey who always helps all animals, especially the thirsty animals because stray dogs and cats are a common sight in his city.

“They don’t have a chance to find a clean river in the city, or a lake or any other natural water source,” Selki told The Dodo. “So it is our duty to provide fresh water, both during summer and other seasons.”

For this reason, he has made a habit of keeping a water bowl outside on the sidewalk to make sure those animals have fresh water to drink. However, their visits usually go unnoticed, so Selki decided to place a camera at the bottom of the bowl to capture emotion on their faces when they drink water.

“The results were amazing,” Selki said. “Not only was it cats and dogs, but a crow and butterflies came up to have a drink too.” Animals drink water in different ways. Cats tend to be simple, elegant drinkers. Dogs are not.

Selki is hopeful that others will be inspired by the video. “I hope that all of us will always remember that we are responsible for all the animals,” Selki said. “We destroyed or shaped the whole planet in the direction of our needs. It’s time to think about the other species too. So, people, always leave clean fresh water and maybe some food nearby to feed the animals.”
