This Pit Bull Was Ab4nd0ned At Groomers For 3 Years, But She Still Thinks Her Owner Will Return To Pick Her Up

A pit bull puppy named Eva was so excited about her routine trip to a dog grooming salon in Queens because she would have a new hair and a new appearance. But she never knew that this trip became the start of a heartbreaking journey. Her owner dumped her at the grooming salon, and it became her home for the next three years.

According to Eva’s owner, his building manager no longer allowed him to keep the dog in his apartment. But instead of finding her a new home or a shelter, he left her with the groomers, claiming she would only be there temporarily.

For the past three years, Eva lived in a small cubicle, with nothing to look forward to except the sporadic visit from her owner. But then, the visits and the payment for her boarding stopped.

Since Eva was ab4nd0ned, the groomers has done everything they can to care for the homeless dog — feeding her, walking her and even getting her vaccinated. But time and resources are limited. Employees will spend time with her on breaks, but at night, she is left in the basement alone. So, when the shop opens again the next day, Eva is always happy and eager to see her groomers.

When Sam Taylor, an animal lover, first heard about Eva from a friend, he couldn’t believe that the nearly 4-year-old dog had spent the majority of her life in such a way. So, he decided to help her find a forever home with kind owners, who will love her more than anything.

“Eva is about as sweet as can be despite her terrible ordeal,” Taylor said, “calm, patient, smart, friendly. It’s hard to imagine the circumstance that would lead someone to ab4nd0n such a special dog.”

Unfortunately, Eva’s solitary life hasn’t given her the chance to learn proper social skills. “There’s so much that’s new for her,” Taylor said. “She doesn’t really know how to react around other animals — she’s great with people — super sweet and docile. But when she’s walked, she has energy and that puppy instinct. She just hasn’t had the chance to be a dog.”

Taylor and his friends reached out to animal rescues, but none of them had any room for Eva. They are now trying to find Eva a forever home, where she will be loved, cared, and learned what it’s like to be a dog.

Please share this story with your friends and family members to help Eva find a home! She deserves a family that will love her and give her the best life. If you are interested in rescuing or adopting Eva, please email [email protected] or message Sam Taylor on Instagram.
