10 Ways to Make Your Cat REALLY Love You!

Cats are truly amazing pets. However they sometimes they make us work a just little harder for their love than their barking counterparts.

Once you have earned your cat’s love, it’s totally worth all the effort because cats bond with their owners for life and have their own amazing ways of showing you just how much they love you.

However, if you’re struggling to get to that lovey-dovey point in your relationship with your cat, try some or all of these 10 tricks.

1 – Feed your cat well.

Buy the good stuff and make sure fresh food is always available. You should also make sure that he knows you’re the one putting out that yummy food every morning. Ensuring that your cat actually sees you taking care of his well-being will do a lot to strengthen your bond.

2 – Bring on the yummy treats!

Of course, throwing a few kitty treats into the mix never hurts when you’re trying to get an animal to warm up to you.

3 – CATNIP!!!

Cats truly do love it and he’ll associate that fantastic feeling with you giving him the good stuff.

4 – CAT WINE!!!

It’s an actual thing and a way to bond with your cat in literally the exact same way you bond with your human friends.

5 – Cuddle with your cat!

As opposed to dogs, many cats aren’t ready for cuddles 100% of the time. When the mood strikes, your kitty will let you know, though. It’s just your job to be ready when he does.

6 – Learn your cat’s signals for when cuddle time is over.

Just as important as being ready for cuddles whenever your cat is, is you knowing when cuddle time is over — and then respecting that.

7 – Learn just what toys he likes and start playing.

Toy mice, string games, even a red laser light can all provide hours of amusement for a cat and playing together is one of the best ways to bond.

8 – Keep your home clean.

Cats keep themselves extremely clean, obviously, and they’d like you to return the favor and keep their living space clean as well. A clean home truly is a happy home as far as cats are concerned.

9 – Give your cat massages.

Cats truly love to be rubbed — on their back, necks, heads, bellies – just about anywhere. This is a wonderful way to show your cat some physical affection without totally annoying them right off the bat.

10 – Give your cat space.

This will let him know that you love him, but that you don’t need to be within his space all the time. Your cat will love you even more for this!
