Rescued Cat Now Becomes A Rescue Cat

Russel the cat luckily survived a house fire two years ago. Though suffering from 3rd degree burns, he has spent the last two years aiding the staffs in taking care of other animals at the Animal Emergency Hospital & Urgent Care in North Carolina. He visit other furry friends to encourage them, and he won’t stop until a staff tells him to do so.

Russel is still in recovering phase after two years of treatment.

The cat loves to be around other animals.

“I don’t know if he can sense that other animals are in pain… but he does seem to have some weird knack for connecting with patients.”

“Most cats are independent and aloof, but he likes to be with other animals.”

“And it’s not all about him. He really enjoys giving companionship to others.”

Russel might never be fully recovered, but he has found another meaningful life as a permanent resident at the clinic.

“He’s a rock star here. Everyone wants to see him. We’d be happy to keep him as our clinic mascot.”
