Jonathan and Yana were driving through Greece when they saw a mother dog and her puppy in need of help. They quickly stopped their car and came to check on the two animals. Looking at the dogs, the couple thought that they were abandoned by someone. No way to leave them there helpless, the two kind people decided to help them. Through internet and the UK organization GAR, they found DAR Animal Rescue and contacted them for help.
After receiving the call, Ermioni and her team rushed to save the animals. It took them 3 hours to get to their place. When they arrived, they quickly checked on the dogs’ situation and prepared a safe travel box to bring them inside the shelter. With the help of Jonathan and Yana, they finally put the dogs inside the carrier box. The pup was scared and stressed, so they used a towel to cover her eyes.
They moved the carrier into the shelter and prepared a warm and comfortable place for the mom and her scared pup. Due to living in the mountains for many days, the two animals needed more time to adapt to their new environment. The rescuers knew that they also needed to have patience to follow their rhythm and care for them. After chatting for a while, they let the dogs enjoy their new place and get some rest.
The next day, Ermioni took the dogs to a vet clinic for a check-up. The doctors examined them and gave them all medical treatment and care they needed. This might be their first time in a clinic, so Ermioni stayed with them and helped them feel comfortable during the process. After receiving all the necessary, they returned to the shelter and started their new life with other dogs. However, that was not the ending of their great story.
One day, Jonathan and Yana came back to the shelter and decided to adopt the two dogs. After everything happened to them in the past, they are now living a happy life that they deserve. We are sure that the kind couple will do everything they can to make their beloved dogs happier and healthier.
