Little Kitten Rescued From Cat Colony Started To Trust Humans For The First Time

Sugar Ray was a rescued kitten of the TNR Project which helped saving street/homeless cats and fostering them. Sugar was rescued from a cat colony. Her past was full of sadness and misfortune, which made her so shy and unready to trust humans.

She was fostered by Nikki, a volunteer of the TNR project. As the kitten was so timid and spicy. It took a long time for Nikki to earn her trust. Five days after the rescue, Sugar was still very quiet. Although people at the cat house smiled and played with her in a friendly way, her consistent reaction was just observing them with her lovely round eyes. It seemed like she still needed more time.

It took her 15 more days to overcome shyness and started her first play. She became more active and comfortable. Nikki gave her some solid food and the little kitten seemed to enjoy it so much. However, at that time, she was still scared and not ready to welcome Nikki.

24 days after being rescued, Sugar got used to the environment there. She had her own space which was comfortable enough to play, eat and sleep. Although she felt more relaxing, she was rather shy when Nikki tried to get closer to her.

Finally, Nikki could win her trust. While the kitten was eating the food, Nikki tried petting her as a sign showing that she wanted to make friends with her. The kitten hesitated at first but then accepted it. When she nuzzled the hand and started making playful body gestures, Nikki knew she had already got rid of all the trauma she had experienced before. And now, Sugar could become happy again.

Quickly, she became very friendly and sweet, as how people called her, Sugar. The kitten was so brave that she could overcome her painful past to live for the future. Her story was just emotional and inspirational to many of us. Share this post to inspire other people!
