While all animal moms share a strong bond with their offsprings even before they give birth, it often takes a while for a new dad to get to know his babies (yeah we are curious too, does he even knows they are HIS babies?). But once the dad truly opens his heart to accept the kids, he can be as loving as any mom out there.
Tommy the bicolor kitty has just become a dad not so long ago, and that fact is quite confusing to the poor boy. His wife Lucy has delivered a litter of five kittens: Panda, Nala, Sky, Milo, and Rudy, all of them are beautiful, totally healthy and resemble their parents. However, that similarity doesn’t help Tommy recognize his children when they are introduced to him.
Tommy is kind of bewildered due to the sudden appearance of the tiny “intruders” in his house. He sits down quietly to watch them from afar and has no intention of approaching any of them, including his partner. He is nice and calm at first, but when their owner brings the little Rudy to his spot, the so-called dad is scared out of his wits!
In fact, he jumps up and runs away in the blink of an eye. And it happens not only once, but twice! Even when he does try to sniff the kitty the second time, they still fail to get along with each other. The third time is no better, poor little Rudy and little Panda have no idea what is going on.
It’s not until Lucy the mama starts to lick her babies that Tommy also begins to get comfortable with all these kittens around too. Maybe her loving action has helped him accept the existence of the kids. And gradually, he even learns to love them from the bottom of his heart.
