Tiny wild animals like mice can be friendly and adorable. You may see them running around your garden or backyard. Some people will immediately trap to get rid of them but some happily create a shelter for them. This shelter is even beautiful and looks like those in fairy books.
A wildlife photographer named Simon Dell does the same. When he spotted a family of mice living in his garden, he decided to build a miniature village for them to live in. Just look! the mice and the tiny village are brightening up his garden! These little furry friends even become cute and photogenic models for his shoots.
And this small village probably becomes the most relaxing corner in his garden. It has fairy tale vibes inside!
Simon discovered the cute little mouse family when he was taking photos of the birds that he raised in his garden. He even saw a mouse standing up just like a meerkat in the fresh-cut grass.
As these tiny animals looked so adorable, the man decided to provide them with shelters.
Initially, Simon piled some small logs around a box as a home for the mouse. He then covered it with moss and straw to make it a safe place.
Just a few days later, there was more than one mouse to stay inside the log pile. Simon planned to do something a bit more amazing. Create a nice-looking habitat for these cute and photogenic little critters.
And, a miniature log pile village has been steadily growing, providing more rooms for the lovely guests. They were decorated beautifully, looking like a fairyland in fairy books.
Regarding the food for these mice, the garden owner mainly fed them with berries, nuts, and fruits that grow wild, seed mix, sunflower seeds, and other hazel or walnuts. He sometimes gave them a couple of dry mealworms and some suet pellets as a feast.
And the mice family seems to enjoy their life in the poetic small village. It is a cozy place filled with the kindness of humans. These little friends often appear in Simon’s photos.
Actually, Simon’s garden has been a favorite destination of many wild animals like foxes and hedgehogs. He is also raising my kinds of birds, from starlings, house sparrows, blackbirds to robins.
