Meatball, over weight dad cat of four kittens, needed a little help with etiquette. It’s not been very long since Meatball became a dad and ever since his kittens started taking solid food he would eat all of it by himself leaving close to nothing for the cuties. For a few days this happened and the humans noticed Meatball getting fatter and the kittens getting paler.
Meatball, with his three kittens, and partner Mochi lives in Hong Kong with Koon Wah and Daphine, their two humans.
So continuing with Meatball’s fitness secret, seeing the father doing this Pepper, the little kitten also started following her dad’s footsteps. After humans realised what has been happening, they came up with a brilliant idea.
“Koon Wah built partitions to separate them during meal times,” Daphnie told The Dodo. “We also had some fabric from some sake wine we bought in Japan and I sewed these to the front of each partition,” she said.
“It has helped a little in terms of separating them during meal times but in terms of weight control, Meatball and Pepper are still a little overweight and the chubbier out of the four cats,” Daphnie said. Cats are smart beings, now they know their way!

He would eat all of it by himself leaving close to nothing for the cuties.
Then, his owners came up with a fantastic idea of partitioning the food so that he doesn’t overeat.
“We also had some fabric from some sake wine… and I sewed these to the front of each partition.”
