While some people have complained of self-isolation and quarantine due to the covid-19 pandemic, some other starts adapting it. We have more time for ourselves and our family. We can also make use of this period to learn something new. Animals at the zoos seem to enjoy this time a lot. They don’t have close encounters with humans but they can make friends with other species that pay a little visit to them.

Texas State Aquarium did this for the dolphins living there. They let these cheerful and curious sea mammals see a sloth. There are a few species on the planet that are more excitable than dolphins and sloths. When the two hang out together, it never lacks joy.

Chico the 3-year-old local celebrity sloth was taken to the Texas State Aquarius to see adorable and smart dolphins there. When the dolphins spotted the sight of the sloth, they almost lost their minds with excitement. They immediately swam over the furry friend to say hello and kept grinning with it. They all went crazy for the sloth!

These dolphins look like playful and energetic kids when seeing someone they love for the first time. They can’t hide their special affection for these people. Making friends during the most boring days is probably the coolest thing for them.

As it turns out, animals love meeting up with friends and befriending new friends. The dolphins and the sloth in this story are an example. They have different shapes, sizes, and habitats but they can still get along with each other from the first minutes.

Although zoos closed doors during the pandemic, it’s a perfect time for the “residents” here to get to know each other. They themselves can be tourists and guests to their neighbors. Little joyful visits make sense!

“We frequently give the animals a chance to “meet” each other as a form of enrichment, which helps keep them active in body and mind. As some of our most popular animals, it seemed an obvious choice for our sloths and dolphins to get a chance to see each other while we were temporarily closed. We have another sloth, Xena, but on that day, she was more interested in sleeping than meeting the dolphins!” Said the Aquarium staff.
