Parent Runs A Sock Business, So Their Son With Down Syndrome Has His Job And Lives His Life To The Fullest

We all want to live our life to the fullest. People who have been struggling for their survival day by day have the strongest desire. They totally understand how a healthy life is meant to them. This seems to be a very normal thing to most people, but it is sometimes out of their reach. Life is precious and beautiful, all we need to do is to cherish and enjoy it.

That’s also what Thomas, a 28-year-old man with Down syndrome (DS) thinks. He has come within an inch of her life several times since his birth. There was little hope he would survive but Thomas was born to be a fighter. He is now living a happy life, having his own job like his parents and siblings do.

After a total hip replacement at 28 years old, Thomas can finally live quite a normal life. At least, he stops spending most of his time in hospitals and operating rooms. He immediately told his parents that he wanted a job and got to researching.

Thomas’s parents started to make his request into careful consideration. Despite his intellectual and physical disabilities, Thomas desires to express his inner self. And, this is good for him.

Thomas gets interested in socks and loves playing with them. The kind and sweet man often puts one sock into the other and swings them around his fingers for hours.

His parent then decided to run an online business for Thomas to sell trendy socks. The company is called Thomp2 with the hope that Thomas can be happy every day. He has fought for his life, and he deserves to live it to the fullest. His parents and other seven siblings will always stand behind and help him. They love him regardless of how he is.

Thomas suffered from serious illnesses, including Perthes disease, Hirschsprung disease, heart murmur, underactive thyroid, hiatus hernia, stomach reflux, and severe anemia.

When he was 4 years old, he underwent an 8-hour operation because of a hiatus hernia close to his heart. Luckily, the operation was a success.

Age the age of 8, however, his condition became worse and his chances of survival are less than 30 percent. But the young boy made up a miracle.

Another challenge came to little Thomas when he was 9 years old. He started feeling the pain in his knees. But it turned out to be the Perthes disease in his hip, and he was brought to the operating room for surgery.

This was not all, the surgery couldn’t correct it all. The hip disease spread to the other hip, which meant more surgery. Thomas suffered this pain for 14 years until he had a total hip replacement at 28 years old.

Some people say Thomas’s survival is a miracle. But he always keeps his spirit of a fighter. Pain can’t get him down.
