The love between a mother and her children is a special and unbreakable bond. A mom is willing to sacrifice all what she has in order to save her babies. This is called ‘Maternal instinct’ that all mothers on earth can have, including this stray cat. She didn’t hesitate to put herself at risk, as long as her kittens could get enough food.

It was on a nice day, a man went out to feed street cats as usual. He noticed a mom cat and her kittens coming to him. It seemed like they wanted to ask for food. The man couldn’t understand exactly what the mom cat told him, but her eyes showed that her babies hadn’t eaten all day. At that time, he only had one container with food left and that was really a problem.

Another white cat appeared and he also wanted the food. However, one container of food was just not enough for all of the cats. Therefore, the mom cat needed to protect the food from the hungry male. She knew there was no tolerance in this fight, as it directly affected her babies’ benefits.

When the male cat was trying to get the food, the mom cat became very angry. She scratched and shouted at him until he ran away. The baby cats were threatened, but soon, they came back to their mommy. They could only feel safe and comfortable when staying with her. Seeing the kids enjoy the meal, the mom cat didn’t forget to keep a strict eye on the hungry male cat. He seemed not to give up.

More than one time the white cat tried to take the food from the kittens and their mother, but he was not able to do it. The mom cat was always there protecting her children and the food. She did a great job as a mother. After making sure the male cat had given up, she came back to thank the man who gave food to her children.

Maybe many of us feel happy that the mom cat and her kittens could enjoy the food, but it was so dangerous for them to risk their lives and fight for their meals in that way. They are poor creatures that really need our help. Therefore, we should save stray animals so that they can have better lives.
