Compared to feral animals, stray ones are less likely to survive on the streets as they are all used to indoor life and don’t have many essential skills to fend for themselves after getting lost or being thrown out. And just like humans, animals are vulnerable without care. They could be attacked, be sick, be outcast, be hopeless.
Winston the bicolor cat used to belong to a family before becoming a stray. According to the locals, the poor boy had been wandering on the streets of Brooklyn, New York for weeks as his health condition kept getting worse and worse. It’s not until a rescuer from the Flatbush Cats stumbled upon him that Winston’s life was changed drastically.
The unfortunate cat was in really bad shape back then. He was covered in dirt, scratches and had trouble breathing, but it was just his appearance. He probably had other health issues that needed further examination to be discovered.
Looking at his miserable situation, the kind rescuer immediately knew he needed to save this pitiful feline. The kitty was super friendly and anybody could tell he was a home cat before, but it didn’t mean he could trust people easily even though he desperately needed help. So, the man simply decided to take it slow until Winston felt comfortable around him to finally bring the cat home.
Winston had settled right into his new home, he had no problem with life inside a house. As the man expected, Winston did have countless diseases to overcome. But with plenty of inner strength, love and care, they could work it out, together.
Several weeks later, the little street cat had transformed into a whole new cat. All of his problems were gone and he was ready for his own forever home. With his sweet and loving nature, it’s pretty easy to find a great owner for this handsome boi. So from that moment on, nothing but VIP life for Winston!
