Reckless Cat Jumps From The Fifth-Floor Of A Burning Building And Landed Like A Hero

Human heroes mostly exist in comic books, but cat heroes do exist in real life. If you need more reasons to believe in the awesomeness of these charming creatures, this story will give you one for sure.

The fantastic black cat was caught on camera just a few days ago as he spectacularly jumped out of a fifth-floor window in Chicago, US while the story was caught on fire. Seriously, that scene is not for the faint of heart!

In the video, the cat first looked down from the window to take stock of the distance from his spot to the ground, and then swiftly jumped out without a second thought. To everyone’s surprise (and relief), he landed smoothly on the grass, bounced a little bit and then walked away like nothing ever happened. What a daredevil!

The jaw-dropping moment was shared by the Chicago Fire Department on Twitter, and it immediately went viral:

The accident took place in a building at Englewood 65th and Lowe on a Thursday afternoon. Further information about the cause of the fire, damage level and injuries has yet to be revealed. However, we have at least one survivor so far. Maybe this is exactly the reason why they say cats always have nine lives.

According to another tweet from the Department, Hennessy aka the new hero in town hasn’t come back yet and all of his neighbors are eager to locate the famous feline. His owner also reveals that Hennessy is a home cat who loves to stay indoors.

Isn’t this cat amazing? Please share his story with your friends and family!
