The small magical kingdom of these foxes is called Zao Fox Village, located in Japan’s Miyagi prefecture. It’s home to six different types of foxes. Even beautiful rare silver foxes and red foxes live here.

Foxes are adorable animals. They can be affectionate like other pets, too. Their eyes, face and fur are charismatic. I love their sound of laughing when playing with their friends or being rubbed by their human friends.

The sanctuary allows visits to come and discover the daily life of the wild foxes here. It’s a great chance to approach these smart, mischievous, and cute animals.

Japanese people believe that foxes have secret mystical powers. They are said to be messengers of Inari Okami, the Shinto deity of fertility, prosperity, and rice.
