Blackburnian warblers distribute in eastern North America and southern Canada, southern Canadian Prairies, the Great Lakes region, New England, and North Carolina. They can be found in coniferous woodlands or mixed wooded areas.

These birds feed on insects found in treetops. They also eat berries, depending on the season.

During the breeding season, female Blackburnian warblers build nests on a horizontal branch at an altitude of 5 – 80 feet.

They then lay 4 – 5 eggs, incubate them and feed the hatchlings until they are fully fledged.
