Black And Yellow Broadbill, A Stunning Tiny Bird That Jumps Out From Cartoon Movies

The black and yellow broadbill is an outstanding bird. A lot of striking features are gifted to these fluffy tiny guys, making them conspicuous in the world of birds.

An aqua beak goes along with a black head and bright yellow eyes are the first things that grasp human’s attention. They make these birds so adorable.

Their peach-pink underparts and black and yellow wings are also striking details. This plumage is so unique, right? I have never thought that black, yellow, and pink could combine harmoniously like that.

And, humans can’t keep their eyes off these adorable tiny birds.

There is one interesting fact that cute little black and yellow broadbills are named “disproportionately loud.” It seems to be a big contrast with their appearance, right?

These cute creatures produce series of high-pitched coos that increases in pitch and speed, turning into a maddened series of loud whistles.

Black and yellow broadbills distribute in Southeast Asia. They live in the hills and lowland forests of Thailand, Indonesia, and other countries in the region.

During the breeding season, these birds use moss and leaf skeletons, roots, and leaves to build their nest. These nests are on tree limbs and look hilariously like a pear and a purse.

Currently, these tiny broadbills are listed as ‘near threatened’ on the IUCN Red List. The main cause is the loss of their habitat.
