Rescued Baby Beaver Builds Doorway Dams Using Various Household Items

Having a beaver around your house may cause trouble but add more colors to your daily life. The reason is understandable. These wildlife animals live out their instincts. It’s like raising an “over” active and energetic dogs or cats.

Beavers have endless love for building a dam. It’s their instincts. They do this even when they’re living inside the house. They build it with any household items found in their path like pillows, tissue boxes, statuettes, metal frames, buckets, or plungers.

The rescued baby beaver named Beave in this story is no exception. The cub starts building a doorway dam in its rescuer’s home using random household objects.

Beave was rescued when had been left abandoned by the side of the road in May of 2020. He was just 3 weeks old at that time. Nancy, a licensed wildlife rehabilitation specialist spotted and rescued him.

Nancy decided to help the baby beaver. She brought him home. The cub will stay here for 2 years until he’s ready to go back to the wild.

Beave got difficulties in fitting the new living environment at the beginning. He learns everything from his parents. Nancy shared stories of daily life (shenanigans) of Beave on the Internet, from eating solid food, building dams, swimming, bathing, wandering, to sniffing around.

Beave now has his own TikTok channel with over 370,000 followers. People much get interested in his daily life.

One of the most favorite activity of the baby beaver and the best thing that he could do is to build a dam. Mother Nature-given instincts.

“Beave is just starting to dam with household objects, but has not yet started outside or in water,” elaborated Nancy. “He dams pretty much every evening. When I clean it up, he just rebuilds!”
