Everyone has their favorite places. It may be a coffee shop, bookstore, restaurant, or a travel destination. The stray dog in this story shares the same. She visits a cafe every day, even during the lockdown. But it’s not all because she loves the shop. She appreciates the foods that the shop owner gives her and her puppies. The sweet stray dog is named Deneres. She has visited the Cafe run by Dulci Barbosa for more than a year, becoming a special customer. Although Barbosa’s business has been shuttered due to the lockdown for the last several months, she kept serving meals to Deneres.

Barbosa is a dog lover. She had three rescue pups already at the time Deneres started visiting her coffee shop. That was the reason why Barbosa wasn’t able to take her in. She just afforded meals for Deneres every day, even during the lockdown. She went there daily to leave food out for Deneres.
“She never went hungry,” Barbosa told The Dodo. “I was the only person she could count on.”
Last week, Barbosa was finally able to reopen her café. And you can guess who was among her first customers, right? Deneres eagerly arrived the cafe and greeted Barbosa with a wagging tail.

Since then, the stray dog has visited Barbosa’s cafe every morning. She receives both love and meals from the shop.
“I have a great love for her,” Barbosa said.
Deneres now considers Barbosa a trusted friend, not just a staple source of food. One day, after the breakfast, the stray dog finally found it safe to introduce her human friend to her puppies — babies.

Barbosa said that she was very happy and was planning to rescue and offer Barbosa and her puppies a home. Hope that they soon become a happy family!
