People say that cats and dogs are mortal enemies, and will always hate each other. However, the video below will prove that they can get along well and take care of each other, even if they’re different sizes!
Tennyson, the sweet German Shepherd and his owners recently welcomed an addition to their family – an adorable kitten. And not surprisingly, the German Shepherd fell in love with the kitten immediately. He loves the kitten so much that he always follows him and protects him from dangers.
In the video, Tennyson and his little friend can be seen going up a staircase together. The Shepherd, of course, has no trouble at all. But the tiny kitten struggles to climb up the stairs due to his short and little legs. After a few moments, the worried brother decides it’s time to intervene. He grabs the kitten and carries him up to the top.
At first, he tries to grab the little kitty by the nape but failed. The GS knows he has to be gentle to avoid hurting the little kitten. And after a few attempts, Tennyson was able to carry the kitten gently in his mouth, walks up the stairs and sets it back on the floor. People on the internet can’t get enough of the gentle dog and his tiny friend.
Understandably, the kitten is nervous when the Shepherd tries to bite his head. But after that, he seems to understand that the big dog is just trying to help him. After reaching the last step, the big brother drops the little kitten and proceeds to cuddle with him. Sweet!

People were impressed by how gentle and patient the dog was. He made so many attempts to carry the kitten without hurting it. It’s amazing to see how loving and empathetic animals are. They adopt one another, even when they’re not from the same species.
