Meet Ozzy, The Cat Loves Peaches Is The Best Thing On The Internet

Meet Ozzy – a lovely Siamese/Tabby mix is here to steal everyone’s hearts away with his surprising fondness for peaches. Lydia Coutre, 27-year-old from Cleveland, Ohio, recently shared a series of photos of her parents’ five-year-old cat Ozzy guarding some peaches to Twitter, explaining that kitty absolutely adores the fruit. It’s not that he likes eating them so much. He likes to cuddle with them.

Ozzy has lived with the Coutré family since he was adopted in the fall of 2013. Lorraine and her mother weren’t planning on expanding their family at the moment, but when Lorraine spotted Ozzy, it was love at first sight. The family first noticed his love of peaches in 2014, the first time he was around for peach season. He nuzzles them, uses them as a pillow to rest, or just stands over them guarding them.

Ozzy’s owner leaves the peaches to ripen on sheets of newspaper — giving Ozzy the perfect opportunity to nest. Ozzy’s strange love affair with the summer stone fruit has since become a running joke in the Coutré family. Within just a few short days, the post has gone viral with over 60,000 retweets and over 100,000 likes. However, Ozzy doesn’t seem to care about how famous he’s become – he’s far more concerned with peach season ending.

Everyone loved Ozzy so much that some went as far as to create art about Ozzy and his love of peaches. Scroll down below to check it out and maybe you’ll be inspired to draw a piece of your own!
