Mythical Beasts: Photographer Captures The Majestic Beauty Of Maine Coons

“Maine Coon” is a breed of cats which have a distinctive size and appearance as compare to other domestic breeds. They are one of the oldest natural breeds in North America, specifically “native” to the state of Maine, where it is the official state cat. Despite being large in size, Maine coon are quite social with the nickname “the gentle giant”. So, you can get to owning this wild cat without having to worry about your home getting destroyed.

Robert Sijka, a Hong Kong photographer who has always had a passion for these gorgeous Maine Coon, which prompted him to introduce these cats to the world through the power of photography. This combination created an impressive way to represent these cats as mystical-like creatures. Looking at his photos of Maine Coons you can see that he has combine his two passions to great effect. Robert also explained on his website about his passion and process: “My passions are cats and photography, I do my best to combine these two things as good as possible.”
