Meet The Pink Robin, An Adorable Tiny Chubby Bird With Beautiful Pink And Grey Plumage

The pink robin is one of these striking birds. This robin wears a stunning coat of brilliant pink (breast) and greyish-black (head and upperparts), making it conspicuous wherever it appears. It’s too perfect to be real.

Like many other species, male and female pink robins look different. Although they still have a dash of pink on their bellies, they are duller than the male. Most of their body is covered with an olive-brown color.

This unmistakeable little bird distributes on the island of Tasmania, King and Flinders Islands, wetter parts of Victoria, and southeastern New South Wales.

It can be found in temperate forests or tropical moist lowland forests.

This robin species is notoriously difficult to photograph. So if you spot them in real life, just grasp your chance.

It feeds on insects on the ground or in low bushes.

During the breeding season, female pink robins build their cup-shaped nests in the fork of a tree. These nests are made from grass, fern, spider webs, and even their feathers.

Female birds then lay 3-4 eggs in nests and incubate them. They will feed the hatchlings until fully fledged.
